You will work closely with teams across Sales, Operations, Finance, Data Science, and Network Optimization to support Lineages new business initiatives and a capital investment program exceeding $1 billion annually. As the design engineer for this critical business function, you must be highly effective at leading cross-functional teams and fostering strong working relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Job Functions:
- Support new business opportunities by reviewing RFPs, understanding customer objectives, identifying information gaps, and developing solutions that deliver unique value.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, profiling, and baseline development to support accurate solution modeling.
- Define modeling scenarios and calculate labor, equipment, facility, and expense requirements based on solution design assumptions.
- Develop and maintain pricing models to assess the financial viability of capital projects and dedicated customer solutions.
- Lead internal pricing reviews and support the construction of customer-facing pricing proposal.
- Participate in solution review presentations and design validation meetings with internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of engineering standards, methodologies, and tools to align with industry best practices.
- Conduct work, time, and efficiency studies to ensure accurate labor planning and resource allocation.
- Manage the configuration of automation systems and racking layouts in response to the Material Flow Document (MFD), ensuring alignment with site-specific and local standards; includes the ability to create and modify CAD drawings to support design development and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in warehousing and/or manufacturing (e.g., industrial engineering, warehouse operations), with a strong preference for cold storage experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with Power BI or similar data analysis and visualization tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative, with the ability to identify and solve practical problems and drive process improvements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; demonstrates a high degree of flexibility, a strong work ethic, and a proactive approach.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently; skilled in setting priorities, organizing tasks, and achieving objectives.
- Solid understanding of warehouse management operations, including warehouse types, material handling solutions, and automation technologies such as powered industrial trucks (PIT), racking and storage systems, packaging equipment, conveyor and sortation systems, and AS/RS (automated storage and retrieval systems).
- Willingness to travel up to 1020%.
