We are a small residential general contractor based in Fremont looking to grow our small crew. Our projects consist of high-quality remodels, additions, and ADUs. Our mission is to deliver outstanding craftsmanship and a great client experience on every project. Position Overview:
As Lead Carpenter, you'll be responsible for overseeing and executing a wide range of residential projects from start to finish. We are looking for an experienced carpenter that can lead a small crew, read blueprints, form foundations, handle all aspects of rough framing, and is skilled in finish carpentry as well. As we are a small company, this position will also consist of other tasks including, but not limited to, demolition, digging, rebar, window installation, etc. Experience with plumbing and electrical is a major plus.
Key Responsibilities:
-Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans
-Rough framing from foundation all the way through roof decking
-Finish carpentry (hanging doors, baseboard, casing, siding, etc)
-Lead, mentor, and manage on-site crew members
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
-Ensure work meets building codes and safety regulations
-Report progress and issues to project manager/owner
-Other remodeling tasks (demolition, digging, insulation, etc)
Qualifications:
-8+ years of hands-on residential carpentry experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
-Ability to read plans and handle all phases of rough and finish carpentry
-Extensive knowledge of residential construction methods, tools, and materials
-Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
-Ability to manage time and crew efficiently
-Excellent communication and leadership skills
-Familiar with proper safety practices
-Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
-Must have own tools (drills, saws, nail guns, compressor, etc)
Nice to Have:
-Experience with remodeling older homes
-Experience with electrical and/or plumbing
Pay Range:
$40-$50 DOE
This is a Full-Time, W2 position. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Typical work hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Biweekly pay (every other Friday).
