**Compensation based on experience**
Rapidly Growing Civil Construction company is looking to hire an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise diverse scopes of work. Scopes of work are typically completed via in house crews through self-performed operations as well as via subcontractors. The majority of disciplines covered by the company include wet utilities, site work, reinforced concrete, and PEMB for Governmental, Municipal, Industrial and Private entities. Candidate will organize and oversee construction projects of 200k-20M and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. This candidate must have knowledge and experience in all construction means and methods to coordinate a team of professionals to ensure success for the organization. This position requires about 80% office time and 20% of time spent in in the field visiting job sites.
Responsibilities
- Once a bid is awarded, prepare and track submittals
- Verify design to ensure conditions, elevations, and positions of existing conditions are correct
- Obtain bonds and copies of COI's
- Order materials and create PO's based off of submittals, design drawings, etc.
- Ensure 811 call has been made prior to starting project
Verify permits and licenses from appropriate authorities have been obtained
Coordinate with superintendent to plan and place needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish
Schedule project timeline to ensure milestones and project completion dates are met
Prepare and manage all subcontractor contracts and schedule according to project timeline
- Negotiate project scope changes with Engineers and owner representatives
Evaluate progress of projects and prepare detailed reports to submit to upper management
- Prepare closeout documents
Attend project progress meetings
Skills
In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material usage to produce detail and quality workmanship
Knowledge and understanding of project management principles in Municipal, Governmental, Industrial and private sectors.
- Highway bridge construction experience a plus
Fluent usage of MS Office, CAD readers, specialty construction management and scheduling software
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational, leadership and time-management skills
Critical thinking, sense of urgency and problem-solving skills are a must
Requirements
3-5 years Civil Construction Project Management experience
Project Manager Professional Certification (PMP) preferred
OHSA 30
BS of Engineering or Construction Management
Fluent in English. Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
