Commercial Electricians Needed Day Shifts, $42.26/hr Max, Contract Starting July 7, 2025
Raise Workforce has teamed up with a trusted name in commercial electrical services to recruit Commercial Electricians for a Calgary-area project. This is a 6-month contract role with strong extension potential. Candidates within 150 km of Regina are preferred, but accommodation can be arranged for those traveling in.
Role Details:
Wage: Up to $42.26/hour (based on experience & certification)
Term: 6 months, with extension possibility
Start Date: July 7, 2025
Location: Within driving distance of Regina preferred
Housing: Available for out-of-town workers
The employer specializes in Lighting and Power Distribution for major commercial sites like grocery stores and corporate offices. Open to Electricians from 2nd Year Apprentices to Journeyperson level. Wage will reflect your current designation.
Referral bonuses, milage covered and travel reimbursement available
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle on-site electrical maintenance and servicing
- Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and codes
- Install circuits, fixtures, and control systems
- Diagnose and fix system faults using the proper tools
- Ensure installations are compliant and hazard-free
- Wire systems for HVAC, communications, and AV components
- Maintain site cleanliness and enforce safety practices
- Work cooperatively with others to meet project milestones
- Keep accurate records and inventory of tools and materials
- Be punctual and prepared for scheduled work shifts
- Take part in toolbox talks and job planning sessions
Requirements:
- Journeyperson or Apprentice (2nd year or higher)
- Valid certifications: Fall Protection, Scissor Lift (AWP), CSTS 2020
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical documentation
- Previous experience in commercial settings and with EMT conduit
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Independent and team-oriented work ethic
- Reliable and fast-paced work style
- Generator servicing experience is a plus
