General Laborer/Fiber Puller

We are looking for a few General Laborer/Fiber Pullers to join our main-line fiber optic construction crews. This position performs manual labor tasks required for underground and aerial fiber installation. This role is critical to safely and efficiently pull fiber, set-up job sites and ensure that project specifications are met.

This position reports to the job site daily; which can change regularly, frequency depends on the project.

Schedule:

• Regularly scheduled to work 40 hours a week.
• Typically 3 weeks away from home, 1 week (7-10 days) at home.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed in addition to regular travel.

Travel:

• 100% travel in or out-of-state. (currently OH, MI, NY; but, is subject to change)

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid, non-probationary driver's license.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid drivers license with a driving record that meets the companys minimum safety standards.
• Prior construction or telecommunications experience is preferred.
• Basic understanding of fiber optic construction practices is a plus.
• Able to meet physical requirements: climb ladders, work in confined spaces and/or various heights, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., squat, kneel, bend, crawl and stand for long periods of time.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to work.
• Willingness to obtain certifications (OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, Flagging, etc.).
