CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Mechanical Engineer IV. Type: Contract Job Title: Mechanical Engineer IV Location: Corning, NY Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Corning, NY Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required Description: CTG is seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer IV with a strong focus on precision engineering and extensive background in the design, build, and debug of mechanical equipment. This role requires hands-on mechanical support for the installation and start-up of fiber and connector manufacturing process equipment, working within multi-disciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will bring advanced mechanical design experience and a strong understanding of precision motion systems. Requirements: 10+ years of mechanical equipment design experience Proficient in SolidWorks Strong understanding of precision engineering principles Experience designing and building precision motion systems Competent with structural FEA analysis Experience with design, install, start-up, and debug of robust mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Good written and oral communication skills Ability to collaborate and work with diverse teams (skills, gender, culture, race, etc.) Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field Qualifications: Demonstrated expertise in mechanical design and systems integration Proven ability to work independently and develop innovative solutions Experience supporting installation and debugging of manufacturing equipment Comfortable working in both R&D and factory environments Familiarity with vendor management and coordination Strong communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to travel as required Key Responsibilities: Work closely with internal project teams to understand design requirements Independently determine and develop solutions to engineering challenges Lead installation and debugging activities at R&D and factory sites Provide hands-on input for equipment installation and troubleshooting Verify that equipment builds and layouts align with design drawings Collaborate with engineers and vendors to resolve equipment issues Travel Requirements: Approx. 25% travel required Travel to vendor/supplier locations may be needed for equipment check-out prior to shipment Work Schedule: Typical 40-hour work week May require occasional weekends, holidays, or extended hours to meet project schedules Additional Information: No third party resumes will be accepted Drug testing and/or other employment-related inquiries may be conducted CTG will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable local, state, and federal laws All interested individuals MUST be able to work on a W2 tax basis (no C2C or third party vendors) CTG is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer CTG is an E-Verify Company To be considered for this opportunity, please apply directly through our website or email your Word version resume and salary expectations to ....
