Atlas is a nationwide leader in civil engineering materials testing and geotechnical consulting services for environmental industrial and infrastructure construction projects Headquartered in Austin TX Atlas currently has over 3500 employees with offices throughout the US including Alaska & Hawaii Its no accident that Atlas creates a better experience for infrastructure and environmental projects Its how we are built with the best people in the industry with the reach and expertise to help at any and every step of the project and with a heart led approach that puts quality and safety at the center of everything we do Were just built to be better We are a great company We are seeking a Construction Quality Manager to join our Southern California team Come join us Job responsibilities include but are not limited to Perform work related to transportation engineering activities including but not limited to Construction engineering Inspection & Construction Records Keeping Work will require knowledge of construction and engineering principles as it relates to the construction and maintenance of highways streets and bridges Workers at this level are expected to work independently on assignments to meet project objectives however all unusual issue are to be referred to the supervisor Additional task may include Performing and assisting in performing the duties of an Assistant Resident Engineer including but not limited to roadway construction inspection quantity calculations checking grade and alignment labor compliance interviews traffic control review and assuring compliance with project plans and specificationsIdentifying actual and potential problems associated with the construction project work and recommending sound engineering solutions in a timely manner Maintaining an awareness of safety and health requirements and assuring compliance with applicable regulations and construction contract provisions for the protection of the public and construction project personnelPreparing quantity calculations records reports and correspondence related to construction project activitiesAssisting in the preparation of final As Built plans and reports at the completion of constructionPerforming minor construction surveying activities including but not limited to barrier rail layout grades incidental slope grade check points and shoulder gradesPerforming and assisting in all aspects of required office construction engineering work including setting up and maintaining project files processing required documents and progress payments as necessaryPerforming the Inspection and compliance monitoring of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans SWPPPBest Management Practices BMPMinimum requirements Bachelor of Engineer Civil5 Years of related experiencePE CertificateTechnical requirements Knowledge and experience with equipment used in roadway construction inspection surveying field testing of construction materials and construction office engineeringKnowledge of computers computer applications and computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Word Excel PowerPoint and others;
