Dozer Operator

G.A. West & Company is seeking a Dozer Operator for a 4-5 month project in Loudon, TN. Dozer Operator jobs involve operating heavy equipment, specifically bulldozers, to move earth, level surfaces, and clear land, while adhering to safety regulations and following instructions from supervisors. Experience operating equipment with GPS is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating and maneuvering bulldozers to perform tasks like grading, excavating, backfilling, and land clearing.
• Receiving instructions and guidance from foremen or site supervisors regarding project specifications and tasks.
• Observing and adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Inspecting equipment before and after use to ensure it's in good working order and reporting any issues to supervisors.
• Communicating with coworkers to discuss project specifications and ensure efficient workflow.
• Loading and offloading rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment
• Aiding in keeping the work site clean and organized.

Skills and Abilities:

• Heavy Equipment Operation: Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including bulldozers.
• Knowledge of Equipment: Understanding of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Ability to identify and address issues that may arise during operation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Ability to sit and operate heavy machinery for extended periods, and to climb on and off equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to perform manual labor tasks, such as lifting heavy objects.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
