Summary of Position:
As a Civil Project Designer, supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you will be responsible for designing and drafting Civil Engineering projects under the guidance of Professional Civil Engineers. This includes: site layout, utility design and profiles, erosion and sediment control, SWPPP preparation and stormwater management. As part of a multi-disciplined firm, you will be coordinating with Architects, MEP Engineers, Structural Engineers, and Construction Project Managers. You will be responsible for the production of civil engineering construction documents while adhering to client requirements, code requirements, and site adjustments.

Responsibilities:
- Apply civil engineering concepts to develop solutions to project challenges.
- Preparation of construction plans, cost estimates, reports, and other project documents.
- Preparation of grading plans, profiles, road design, and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Research regulatory requirements and design standards.
- Perform detailed and complex calculations for storm water facilities, utility systems, and roadway improvement.
- Conduct site feasibility research, site visit investigations, and generate reports.
- Respond to construction RFI's and submittals.
- Coordinate the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
- Coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction through all phases of the project.
- Attend project meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
- E.I.T. preferred, P.E. in Civil Engineering a plus
- 0-3 years of site/civil production, preferably with commercial projects such as retail, hospitality, and/or fueling
- MS Office required
- Experience with or willingness to learn Civil3D, TR-20, TR-55, HEC-1, HydroCAD, Hydraflow, HEC-RAS, and WaterCAD for site development.
Team:
You will work with a team of Design Engineers, Professional Engineers and Project Managers.
Work Location:
This is a hybrid (3 days a week in office) role based out of our Philadelphia, PA office.
