Key Requirements:
- 5-10 years of project scheduling experience across commercial construction and renewable energy sectors.
- Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6; additional experience with MS Project, Excel, and reporting dashboards preferred.
- Demonstrated success supporting EPC, design-build, or construction management project types.
- Strong understanding of CPM scheduling techniques, resource and cost loading, and delay impact analysis.
- Familiarity with utility-scale renewable energy timelines, particularly in BESS, solar, and/or wind projects.
Job Summary:
NAES has an opportunity for a Senior scheduler at a leading contractor in both commercial construction and renewable energy. This experienced Senior Scheduler will support large-scale, high-impact projects across the U.S. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to some of the most innovative and mission-critical infrastructure initiatives, including utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS), as well as ground-up commercial developments. The ideal candidate for this Senior scheduler position will bring a proven history in construction scheduling, excellent Primavera P6 proficiency, and the ability to manage schedules for fast-paced, multi-disciplinary projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, and update detailed project schedules for commercial and renewable energy initiatives using Primavera P6.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to collect inputs and align milestones across disciplines.
- Conduct critical path analysis, identify potential risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Develop and deliver schedule reports, look-ahead, and recovery plans for internal and external stakeholders.
- Track progress and earned value, and integrate procurement, permitting, and commissioning activities into schedule logic.
- Support time impact analysis, schedule delays, and change order evaluations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in schedule processes, templates, and reporting standards.
- Ensure all schedules align with contract deliverables, performance metrics, and client expectations.
- What travel percentage of travel time expected for the position, where the travel occurs, such as locally or in specific countries or states?
Job Requirements:
- Strong leadership and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage multiple complex project schedules concurrently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present data clearly to project teams and executives.
- Deep understanding of construction workflows, resource management, and milestone forecasting.
- Familiarity with scheduling methodologies endorsed by AACEI, DCMA, or industry-standard best practices.
- Experience working with remote teams and field staff in both commercial and energy environments.
- PMP or PSP certification is desirable but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and participate in meetings on-site or virtually.
- Occasional project site visits may require walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and wearing appropriate safety gear.
- Willingness to travel to job sites or project offices as needed (10-25% travel expected).
- Define the work environment: temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field (required).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project scheduling with exposure to both vertical (commercial) and horizontal (renewables/infrastructure) construction.
- Advanced degree or certifications in project controls or scheduling are a plus.
