Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Business Development Manager to work from a remote location, preferably in the west USA (preferably California, Phoenix, etc.). The hours are Monday - Friday from 7:00 am to4:00 pm. The Business Development Manager will report to the Sales Director and will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.
The ideal candidate will be an initiative-taker and be able to meet revenue and business development goals and effectively manage and grow sales territory. This candidate will be able to build and foster relationships to achieve his or her revenue goals.
Job Description:
- Generate business leads and revenue for the treatment of wastewater from Food & Beverage in the assigned geographical territory and meet /exceed revenue Goals for the lease of treatment equipment & services. In addition, promote Aquatech's technologies in PFAS removal and destruction primarily in the Food & Beverage but also adjoining industries with PFAS concerns.
- Promote Aquatech products and services in the assigned region.
- Organize presentations to introduce innovative technologies/concepts adopted by Aquatech.
- Promote Aquatech at various regional and national trade shows, by working on committees, presentations, and attendance.
- Work with the Marketing department to create product literature that promotes Aquatech products in the Food & Beverage Industries.
- Update customers on any innovative technologies and systems introduced by the company.
- Maintain extremely good relations with key & primary accounts in the given region.
- Provide support to key clients in the assigned territory including pre-bid support, and budget estimates. Proposals will be generated in Aquatech headquarters in Canonsburg, PA.
- Provide information to keep the sales and marketing database updated.
- Find new business opportunities and market segments for wastewater treatment generated from Food and Beverage industry operations.
- Research business opportunities in the assigned Market:
- Find key customers, stakeholders, suppliers, competition, and business environment for this opportunity.
- Collect, analyze, and communicate customer preferences.
- Analyze and present what would allow Aquatech to capture a significant market share.
- Develop communication packages to address the market and customer needs.
- Support the development of a practical solution along with the engineering team.
- Strategize and communicate the solution to the market.
- Develop sales channels such as manufacturer reps.
- Expand the business territory and develop other resources such as strategic partners, sub-vendors, collaborators, contractors, and other vendors.
- Expand the business territory and develop a team of Aquatech representatives to address all necessary customer requirements.
Skill Requirements:
- Ability to meet revenue goals and effectively manage and grow the business territory.

- Ability to prove consistent revenue growth as well as support prominent levels of customer satisfaction in major accounts.

Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering or relevant experience in a specific market segment of Food and Beverage
- Five (5) or more years experience in Business Development and Recurring Revenue Deals of F&B wastewater treatment, and in management and treatment of discharge contaminants such as PFAS
- Ability to travel 50% or more of the time.
- Military Service or working experience with DoD is a beneficial qualification.
