**Your Key Responsibilities**

+ Handle the design, simulation, and optimization of electric motors (eMotors).

+ Evaluate and select electric machine architectures and topologies on thermal and electromagnetic characteristics.

+ Design eMotors based on targeted cost and manufacturing processes.

+ Apply electromagnetic physics principles to eMotor design.

+ Model vibration characteristics of motors.

+ Apply advanced knowledge of eMotor controls and measurements to simulate and correlate designs.

+ Communicate results and recommendations verbally and in reports.

**Your Qualifications**

Required:

+ Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering related field and one (1) year of applicable experience.

+ Ability to learn and apply mechanical, thermal, and electromagnetic principles to electric motor design.

+ Applicable engineering & physics knowledge.

Preferred:

+ Experience designing electric machines in an academic and/or professional setting.

+ Experience using Python and MATLAB/Simulink.

+ Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) modelling software such as Ansys Maxwell, Ansys MotorCAD, JMAG, or FLUX.

**Our Offering**

+ Salary range: $75,000 - $120,000

+ Hiring Bonus: $500 after 90 days, $1000 after 180 days

+ Hybrid work schedule
