Press Brake Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. This role offers two shifts: the first shift from 6AM to 3:30PM and the second shift from 4PM to 12:30AM. The successful candidate will have general fabrication skills and at least one year of press brake experience. You will be operating the Amada Press Brake and may also be assigned to other shop machinery such as the plasma table and CNC laser. Responsibilities Operate the Amada Press Brake, running metals through machinery for cutting purposes. Upload code and run the plasma cutting machine, ensuring precise operation without physical plasma cutting. Move and operate other shop machinery as needed, including plasma table and CNC laser. Work with heavy industrial products and consistently lift 50+ lbs. Ensure accurate fabrication by reading blueprints and using tape measures. Assist in assembly and general labor tasks within the fabrication shop. Essential Skills At least 1 year of experience operating a press brake. Proficiency in plasma cutting and machine operation. Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently. Skill in reading blueprints and using tape measures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with welding and machining. Work Environment The Press Brake Operator will work primarily in the machine shop, focusing on metal materials and machinery operation. This role does not require welding or physical fabricating, so no hood or gloves are needed. The environment is industrial, with an emphasis on safety and precision. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of OLATHE, Kansas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
