Qualifications and responsibilities for this Marketing & Business Development Manager - Public Sector position include: Minimum 4 years of experience in business development or proposal coordination within land surveying, civil engineering, construction, or related AEC sectors, ideally with public sector focus Proven success in winning at least two public contracts valued at $100,000+ Deep knowledge of procurement and qualification requirements for agencies like IDOT, Illinois Tollway, City of Chicago, and others Ability to lead the full proposal process including scoping, pricing, team coordination, and submission Capable of managing CRM systems and producing monthly business development reports Strong writing skills for compelling proposal content, and experience wrangling technical team inputs Comfortable managing BD budgets and coordinating with outside vendors Experience with DBE/MBE certifications and public sector certifications preferred Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
