Apprentice Plumber Job Description As an Apprentice Plumber, you will assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential buildings. You will work under the guidance of a Journeyman Plumber to ensure that all plumbing systems function efficiently and safely. This role is ideal for those looking to grow their skills in plumbing while working in Traverse City or Grand Rapids, MI. Responsibilities Assist in installing and maintaining plumbing systems in residential buildings. Support the reading and interpreting of blueprints and plumbing codes. Utilize plumbing tools and equipment under supervision. Participate in both rough-in and finish plumbing tasks. Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met. Essential Skills Active Journeyman Plumbers License with the State of Michigan. Experience with PVC and PEX pipe installation. Residential or commercial new construction experience. Proficiency with tools such as cordless drills, saws, hammers, and wrenches. Valid driver's license. Strong communication skills and leadership abilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general labor and pipe fitting. Ability to demonstrate examples of effective communication and leadership in past roles. Why Work Here? The work environment includes a truck and equipment on-site, with projects extending to various locations in Michigan including Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Holland, Grand Haven, and Muskegon. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Byron Center, Michigan. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
