Job Description
The Painter prepares, coats, and finishes metal and/or other surfaces by operating conventional and airless spray equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metal and other types of surfaces.
Responsibilities:
Prepare materials, surfaces and structures for coverage with paint, laminate, rubber or other material
Operate conventional and airless spray equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metal and other types of surfaces
Mix and apply alkyds, epoxies, gel coats, powder coats, urethane, zinc epoxies and water borne paint systems according to a prescribed formula
Clean paint lines, paint guns and perform other cleaning preventative maintenance to ensure that painting apparatus remain in working order
Initiate and maintain all applicable paperwork as required
Regulate the temperature and air circulation in drying ovens
Follow all safety rules and practices
Qualifications:
0-2 years of experience
High School Diploma
