Mechanic, Wild Spring Dunes

Most golf course mechanic jobs are about keeping old equipment limping along with duct tape and prayers. This one's different. You'll be building and maintaining the mechanical foundation for a brand-new golf resort in the East Texas wilderness. We need someone who can fix what's broken, prevent future problems, and take pride in equipment that performs flawlessly when it matters most.
About Wild Spring Dunes Wild Spring Dunes will be a public golf resort and refuge with world-class golf, accommodations, and homesites. Two courses are routed with plans established for a short course and practice center.
Set on over 2,400 sandy, secluded acres, here you will find dramatic elevation changes that highlight four distinct and diverse ecosystems: towering pines and hardwood forest, open, grassy meadows, rolling hills, and steep ravines carved by spring-fed creeks that crawl through the secluded site. Wild Spring Dunes is an escape, a destination, a place to come together in community a home for golf and wilderness lovers alike. What Youll Do:

• Keep our equipment running when it matters most. You'll inspect, diagnose, and repair everything from greens mowers to tractors to aerifiers. When a reel mower breaks down during peak season, you're the person who gets it back up and running so the course stays pristine.
• Build things to last. You'll perform limited engine overhauls, rebuild reels, grind bed knives, and handle welding and cutting torch work. This isn't just patch-and-pray maintenance you'll do the deep work that keeps equipment reliable for years.
• Maintain the records that actually help. You'll track service history, repair costs, and usage patterns on all equipment. When it's time to replace a piece of machinery, your documentation will be the foundation for smart purchasing decisions.
• Work with your hands in a beautiful setting. Your shop overlooks some of the most stunning golf course terrain in East Texas. You'll start early (5:00 AM shifts), but you'll also get to see the sun rise over those rolling hills and spring-fed creeks every morning.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

• You've fixed things before. High school education plus experience with automotive repair or similar mechanical work. You understand engines, hydraulics, and how things break and more importantly, how to fix them properly.
• You're comfortable learning golf-specific equipment. Maybe you haven't worked on a greens mower before, but you're eager to learn. Golf course equipment has its quirks, and we'll teach you everything you need to know about reels, cutting heights, and specialized machinery.
• You communicate clearly and solve problems. When major equipment fails, you'll need to explain the situation to the Equipment Manager and Golf Course Superintendent. You can analyze what went wrong, propose solutions, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• You're flexible with your schedule. Golf courses don't take weekends off, and neither do equipment breakdowns. You'll work some weekends and holidays, but you'll also be part of a team that understands the seasonal nature of this work.
