Welder

Our client, an esteemed player in the Industrial sector, is seeking a Welder to join their team. As a Welder, you will be part of a dynamic environment supporting various welding operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Welder

Location: Shippensburg, PA

Pay Range: $24 an hour

What's the Job?

• Plan and perform hand and automatic arc welding operations to weld similar and some dissimilar metals in all positions for structural and mechanical strength.
• Utilize gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux cored arc welding (FCAW), submerged arc welding (SAW), and flame cutting operations.
• Interpret drawings and shop orders to determine fixture and welding requirements, fabricating holding fixtures as necessary.
• Set up work on tables, stands, or prescribed fixtures, securing with blocks and clamps to ensure precision in welding.
• Collaborate with other welders in performing submerged arc welding of drums and maintain a neat and orderly working area.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 1 year of welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with various grades of carbon steel and welding processes.
• Basic use of pneumatic tools.
• Strong communication skills to receive direction from supervisors and collaborate with team members.
