The Electrician or Electrician Foreman will oversee electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, codes, and project specifications. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage crews effectively to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate electrical crews, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to plan project execution
Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and safety regulations
Conduct quality control inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship
Manage project timelines, materials, and equipment to meet deadlines and budgets
Train and mentor apprentices and journeyman electricians
Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other trades on-site
Maintain accurate records of labor hours, materials used, and project progress
Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues as they arise
Qualifications
Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role
Valid Journeyman Electrician license preferred but not necessary (or equivalent)
In-depth knowledge of NEC, OSHA regulations, and electrical safety practices
Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various conditions
Preferred: Master Electrician license, OSHA 10/30 certification, but no necessary.
