Volt is immediately hiring for a Certified Welder (Direct Hire) in Hitchcock, TX.

As a Certified Welder, you will:

• Perform MIG welding of structural steel parts in accordance with AWS D1.1 and CWB standards
• Utilize GMAW and FCAW processes to weld components in multiple positions
• Interpret and work from structural blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Operate cutting equipment including torches and plasma cutters
• Accurately measure using tape lines, protractors, and other layout tools
• Assist in the preparation and fabrication of steel assemblies and miscellaneous parts
• Maintain quality and safety compliance throughout the welding and fabrication process
• Support team operations and collaborate with fellow welders and fitters

This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity on 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 5:00PM – 3:30AM .

The ideal candidate will have:

• Certified Welder credentials (GMAW and FCAW)
• Hands-on experience welding structural steel to AWS and/or CWB standards
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and layout instructions
• Familiarity with cutting tools, torch operation, and plasma cutting
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials
• Safety-first mindset and experience working in industrial environments
• Strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and in a team

Pay Rate: $22 - 24 hourly.
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including education, work history, certifications, and job scope.
