Provide engineering and consulting services for a diverse range of projects across various sectors, including public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, and industrial. Responsibilities include leading field investigations, conducting engineering analysis, performing calculations, making recommendations, and designing plans and specifications. Additionally, the role involves observation and inspection, report preparation and review, and ensuring compliance with plans and specifications. You will be tasked with preparing proposals and cost estimates, tracking project progress, budgets, and recommending changes. The role requires research and resolution of design and construction problems, assigning and evaluating laboratory or field data for reports, and applying sound engineering principles to communicate complex issues to clients and project teams.
Responsibilities- Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects.
- Participate in pre-task planning and report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Demonstrate quality practices and provide consistent standards on proposal and project delivery.
- Manage and execute small projects of minimal complexity.
- Assist in developing the scope of work for routine projects.
- Prepare cost estimates, specifications, and other project-related documents.
- Analyze data and perform engineering calculations and analysis for PE review.
- Conduct, coordinate, or supervise field investigations, laboratory testing, and data evaluation.
- Develop plans and schedules, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
- Make design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications for review.
- Prepare work scope, proposals, reports, and plan investigations for approval.
- Supervise field staff including engineers, technicians, and exploration teams.
- Interact with clients and project teams to develop scope of services and communicate project progress.
- Work under the supervision of a Professional Engineer and an Authorized Project Reviewer.
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 1-3 years experience.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) certification.
- Civil engineering expertise.
- Materials testing and geotechnical engineering knowledge.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
- Masters degree in Engineering preferred.
- Skills in soil compaction.
