Egan is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician in the Rochester MN area This is a union position with top rate wages healthcare retirement and vacation benefits We are looking for independent customer service oriented individuals who will consistently adhere to safety standards Responsibilities The basic responsibilities of the Fire Alarm Technician include but are not limited to the following Installation of specified electronic life safety systems and peripheral deviceProgramming fire alarm systems Notifier experience is a plusAssist with the start up and commissioning of new equipment or system installationAbility to lead and direct a teamOvercome challenges on retrofits and new installationsAbility to read and mark up printsTrain and instruct new users on a life safety equipmentDaily communication with Project Managers and the greater project teamCompletion of daily safety and additional documentsRequirements High School diploma or GED requiredExperience installing and programming Fire Alarm SystemsValid MN Power Limited Technician licenseNICET Certification is preferred We can assist you in attaining this certificationKnowledge of Current NFPA 72 CodeEffective interpersonal and customer service skillsPresents a professional image both in personal and vehicle appearanceValid Drivers License3 year Limited Energy JATC training or equivalent in time worked in the industryCurrent IBEW Member or Willingness to join the local IBEWQualifications Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of timeAbility to lift and carry 40 pounds alone or 50 to 85 pounds with assistance teamAbility to climb a ladder and work with heightsHighly motivated and ability to multi taskAbility to work independently with limited supervisionAttention to detail organization and time management skillsProficiency using hand and power tools associated with the job in a safe mannerGood hand dexterity and strengthAbility to work well with othersAbility to work overtime depending on
