SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to keep power and lighting systems in working order throughout the Resort by installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must have a valid NC Electrician License.
Must possess a valid NC Driver’s License and pass the Resort Motor Vehicle Report.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position involves driving a company or company-insured vehicle. A valid driver’s license is required, along with successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines. Follow safe driving practices and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies, including the Substance Abuse Policy.

  • Repair electrical equipment and damaged circuits.
  • Maintain all outdoor lighting across the property.
  • Install new electrical services as required throughout the Resort.
  • Provide electrical support and setup for Resort functions and events.
  • Follow all safety protocols when installing or repairing electrical services.
  • Assist other Facilities personnel as needed and perform duties assigned by management.
  • Adhere to all Resort and Departmental standards, including Safety Guidelines.
  • May be transferred to another job assignment or location as needed, temporarily or permanently.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Must have vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing duties of this job, the employee is:

  • Regularly exposed to the risk of electrical shock.
  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, high places, and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat/cold, and vibration.
  • The noise level is usually loud.
