We are seeking skilled manufacturing carpenters to join our team at a facility specializing in the construction and repair of modular trailers. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to use hand tools, read a tape measure, and operate various equipment. Experience in basic electrical work, carpentry, and plumbing is preferred. Responsibilities Perform carpentry repairs and construction tasks as needed. Read and interpret tape measures and other measuring tools. Utilize hand and power tools efficiently and safely. Engage in roofing, painting, and electrical work as required. Clean work areas and maintain tools and equipment. Work independently in a fast-paced environment. Essential Skills Proficiency in carpentry and construction techniques. Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. Experience with hand tools and power tools. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and welding is advantageous. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Competence in using and operating a floor buffer. Additional Skills & Qualifications Own basic hand tools, including a hammer, screwdrivers, and a wrench set. Some knowledge of computers. Work Environment The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to varying weather conditions. You will also work inside trailers that may not be air-conditioned. The dress code requires steel-toe boots, work pants, and a t-shirt. The company provides protective glasses and gloves. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Midland, Texas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
