Diesel Mechanic

$25-$30 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team we are a small family-owned company that has been in business for over 50 years. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heave equipment and fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities:

- Work 40 hours per week, M-F. Standard working hours are between 6:30 am and 4:30 pm

- Occasional overtime may be necessary.

- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on heavy equipment and fleet vehicles including engines, drive train and brake systems.

- Perform routine maintenance including inspections, oil changes, lubrication and adjustments.

- Maintain accurate records on all repairs and maintenance.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

- Ensure compliance of company policies and safety regulations.

Requirements:

- High school diploma pr GED. Technical school qualifications are favorable.

- Class A CDL.

- Experiences with diagnostic tools to identify and resolves issues.

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and brake systems.

- Full understanding of diesel injection systems, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and engine operation.

- Experience with rebuilding and repairing diesel engines.

- Ability to lift heavy equipment and parts.

- Maintain current knowledge of rental equipment.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
