Your responsibilities
Summary :
The Controller will analyze the financial status of the company and work with the Executive Director of Finance BILSTEIN of America to develop and carry out long-term financial goals while directing the preparation of all financial reports, statements, audits, operating budgets and controls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Establishes or recommends to management, major corporate economic strategies, objectives and policies for the company.
Sets clear, relevant performance expectations and measures, provides coaching and feedback to improve performance, motivates individuals to higher levels of performance and acknowledges and rewards people for a job well done. Ensures that highly talented, driven and promotable candidates are being seen and hired for all open positions within CAR.
Performs financial analysis of new business/program quoting.
Manages capital spend within the approved limits and creates business cases to justify new investments
Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations. This would include variance analysis to planning/estimates.
Directs preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification
Continually evaluates and optimizes month-end close processes, striving to deliver process automation, improved accuracy and higher customer service.
Manages and updates the cost accounting system within SAP.
Responsible for inventory management reporting to include analysis of annual physical inventory.
Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies as needed.
Conducts internal audits and works with external auditors to manage periodic reviews and audits, preparing annual audit schedules and tax work papers.
Maintains financial ledgers and accounting process and ensures accurate & timely financials are following IFRS standards.
Develops solid cash flow analysis and forecasting for management review.
Manages the general ledger month-end close process and preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and reconciliation of accounts.
Establishes and ensures compliance to internal controls.
Structures reporting to provide effective tools that allow department managers and accounting management to understand variances and make effective decisions around resource allocation.
Researches various accounting issues and proposes appropriate accounting treatments.
Maintains the company's overall system of accounts, books and records on all company transactions and assets.

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent in education and experience.
Demonstrated successful experience at the level of plant controller, assistant plant controller, or senior accounting manager in a manufacturing company with demonstrated in-depth knowledge of cost accounting.
