Job Summary
  • Support specific aspects of the project as assigned by the project manager or leader, such as technical, construction, quality, cost, and schedule.
  • Support the development and management of specific portions of the project budget and schedule, ensuring alignment with the project scope and objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of project deliverables.
  • Support the development, execution, and commissioning of the project, including adherence to safety standards, system turnover packages, system walkdowns, punch list management, coordination with operations, and system documentation.
  • Support regular and accurate reports on project status, milestones, risks, and issues to the project manager or leader and other relevant parties.
  • Projects might encompass new generation plants (like coal, combined cycle, solar, storage, renewable natural gas, wind, or nuclear), retrofits, environmental initiatives, and other large-scale complex endeavors. Contribute to the overall success of the project and carry out additional tasks as requested or given.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Construction Project Manager I:

  • 0-2+ years of experience in managing construction and/or improvement projects that enhance the plants reliability, efficiency and safety.
  • Has basic knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, tools and best practices, and is willing to learn about the latest trends and innovations.
  • Demonstrates skills in working effectively and cooperatively with project teams and stakeholders and communicates clearly and professionally with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to identify, mitigate, and resolve project issues and risk, and adapt to changing project requirements, priorities, and environments.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with project management, budgeting, scheduling, and risk analysis. Knowledge of power generation, transmission, distribution, and energy markets. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Education Requirements

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelors

Disciplines preferred: Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related degrees that are applicable to Project Construction in utilities.

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

GWO is required for positions required to support Offshore Wind.

Preferred: EIT, PE, PMP, PMI-CP
