The right candidate will
- Work from drawings and sketches with a minimum of instruction.
- Operate common shop tools and equipment.
- Utilize overhead crane and material handling equipment.
- Ability to use fork truck in tight spaces.
- Use precision measuring tools.
- Record measurements, record pertinent information as required.
- Read and interpret prints, including welding prints.
- Weld per SMAW, GMAW, GTAW standards; vertical up, vertical down, and horizontal.
- Air carbon arc cutting.
- Use horizontal and vertical saws, torch, and cut off wheel.
- Set up and operate all welding machines, be able to do basic troubleshooting.
- Follow instructions and established procedures.
- Automated welder experience is a plus.
- Overhead Crane experience is a plus.
