- Produce final construction documents.
- Conduct site visits to gather data and assess conditions.
- Develop local and state permit applications.
- Prepare technical reports and research regulatory codes, manuals, and standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project success.
- Design various types of stormwater management facilities, including bioretentions, green roofs, permeable pavements, stormwater ponds, manufactured treatment devices, and underground detention facilities.
- Develop and execute stormwater operation and maintenance programs for entities owning large stormwater management assets.
- Model and analyze local and FEMA floodplains for existing conditions and proposed alteration condition studies.
- Design large culvert/bridge crossings and analyze and permit state-regulated dams.
- Perform dam breach inundation studies, operation and maintenance permitting, alteration permits, emergency action plan development and execution, annual dam inspections, and other dam-related activities.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a similar field.
- Minimum of 6-10+ years of civil or water resources engineering experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred) and H&H modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-1, HY-8, Flowmaster.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain one.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with ArcMap or similar GIS software.
- Engineer-in-Training certification preferred.
