Job Title: Project Manager/Estimator
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager/Estimator to oversee job sites and manage materials for residential construction projects. This role requires a proactive individual who can monitor jobs daily, ensure compliance with plans and standards, and serve as the main point of contact for trade partners. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and problem-solving skills and will work collaboratively with design and sales teams to ensure timely project completion and high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee job sites and materials.
- Monitor jobs daily to ensure compliance with plans and added options.
- Serve as the main point of contact for trade partners on assigned projects.
- Communicate effectively with design and sales teams throughout projects.
- Resolve issues quickly and efficiently to move projects forward.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe project environments.
- Ensure exterior standards meet EPA guidelines.
- Coordinate scheduled product delivery to prevent damage and access issues.
- Manage prompt material returns.
- Provide a high-quality finished product.
- Complete quality checkpoints throughout project cycles.
- Address concerns with trade partners and implement preventative changes.
- Create and manage punch lists for nearly completed projects.
- Ensure on-time project completion.
- Monitor and adjust schedules as needed.
- Collaborate with the Master Scheduler to ensure resource availability.
- Communicate consistent trade partner timeliness concerns.
- Attend weekly meetings to provide project updates.
Essential Skills
- 3-5 years of construction management experience.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- High level of problem-solving skills.
- Extensive knowledge of residential construction and best practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience overseeing the building of residential homes.
- Proficiency in Auto-CAD and Revit.
- Professional demeanor.
- Training available for estimating skills.
Work Environment
The successful candidate will work primarily in an office environment behind a computer, interacting with clients daily and designing homes. The team consists of three other drafters, and working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM. The dress code is casual.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
