Engineering Technician
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician with a solid understanding of subsystems in sUAS and the ability to troubleshoot. The ideal candidate will possess prior sUAS assembly and small component assembly experience, along with a working knowledge of part numbering, BOM structures, and their integration into products. Experience with schematics, blueprints, and work instructions is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical assembly and sub-assembly of components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair engineering support systems using mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Utilize soldering skills and oscilloscopes for prototype assembly.
  • Review customer equipment and identify subsystem experiences.
  • Conduct critical inspections to review incoming products and determine field failures.
  • Assist with RCCA (Root Cause and Correction Analysis) alongside team members.
  • Report trends in failures and components to the QA department.
  • Apply meticulous and consistent methods and processes in assembly.
Essential Skills
  • Troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Mechanical assembly and sub-assembly expertise.
  • Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Ability to use hand tools for assembly.
  • Experience in engineering support and prototype creation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Preferred: Associate Degree in a technical field.
  • Prior experience in a mechanically inclined role.
  • Critical inspection skills.
  • Ability to recognize trends and report them.
Work Environment

The role is based at our facility on Diamond Drive. The work environment includes using various tools and equipment necessary for assembly and troubleshooting tasks. The first day in the facility will be June 23rd.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
