Operations Supervisor At A Recycling Facility

Position Overview

We are seeking a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) Operations Supervisor to lead our team in Plainfield, IL . In this role, youll oversee daily operations, ensure safety and compliance, and drive performance at our recycling facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and assign work crews operating post-collection and recycling equipment

• Monitor daily operations and adjust staffing as needed

• Conduct field inspections and safety audits

• Manage environmental and OSHA compliance programs

• Handle customer feedback and resolve service issues

• Lead performance reviews and employee development

• Set and execute short- and long-term operational goals

• Support budget planning and Servant Leadership initiatives

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree strongly preferred

• Prior experience in solid waste, recycling, or facility operations

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Capable of lifting 50 lbs and working in all weather conditions
