Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Installer to join the team at General Sheet Metal. Our HVAC Installers are responsible for installing heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings-including commercial kitchens. This may require working with specialized ventilation systems, such as hoods, exhaust fans, and make up air units. Our ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, an understanding of HVAC systems and concepts, and a commitment to safe and quality workmanship. A candidate best first for this role will be a self-starter with a strong drive for continual improvement, someone who is proactive in identifying areas for personal and professional growth, while being dedicated to the overall success of the team and company.

Key Responsibilities
Work Well Within a Team
Build Professional Relationships with CoWorkers, Direct Customers, and Contractors
Maintain a Professional Demeanor at all Job Sites
Collaborate with Supervisors and Team Members to Complete Jobs On Time and Within Budget
Install HVAC Systems Including, but not limited to, Furnaces, Air Conditioners, Heat Pumps, Mini Splits, Fireplaces and Venting, Ductwork, Ventilation Systems, and Thermostats
Read and Interpret Blueprints, Technical Drawings, and Specifications
Ensure Compliance with Company Policies, Safety Standards, and Local Codes and Regulations
Document Completion as Required by Manufacturers and Company Policies
Inspect, Start Up, and Test Systems for Operation within Manufacturer Specifications after Installation
Generate Lists of Required Materials, Track Discrepancy between Used vs Surplus
Clean and Organize Company Vehicle

Required Qualifications
Valid Drivers License
Ability to Lift Heavy Equipment
Willingness to Work in Confined Spaces
Capable of Standing, Bending, Lifting, and Climbing Ladders

Previous HVAC Experience
HVAC Certification
EPA Section 608 Certification
NATE Certification
