Journeyman Lead Painter

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Lead Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques and be proficient in both residential and commercial projects. This role requires excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople.

Duties

- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed.
- Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Ensure proper mixing of paints and finishes according to color theory principles.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets company standards.
- Collaborate with other team members for seamless project execution.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; perform minor repairs as necessary.

Experience

- Proven experience as a painter in residential or commercial settings is required.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills.

Up to $45/hour depending on experience
