What You Will Do

Lead and manage the manufacturing engineers team to develop mass production processes using PDP (Product Development Process) guidelines. Develop a strong culture for DFM (Design for Manufacturing) mindset among design and manufacturing engineers.

Drive selection of the critical technology, manufacturing devices & automation assembly within product architecture to meet customer requirements.

Establish and implement team strategies, programs, and practices to achieve world class manufacturing process.

Develop KPIs that track project progress, production line performance and drive improvements.

Monitor and assess line capacity and capability. Specifically optimizing TAKT and cycle times. Think proactively to optimize capital investment (Capex) while delivering customer needs and meeting deadlines.

Work on creating positive team environment. Collaborate with BU cross functional team, global plants, and customers to develop cost effective and efficient manufacturing processes.

Establish best practices in process design and implementation.

Develop an existing team, recruit, and grow the manufacturing team and function to meet the business needs.

Drive engagement with productions site business leaders to collaborate in manufacturing initiatives that foster goal achievement for current and future business needs.

Share and present manufacturing strategy to cross-functional teams and executive leadership.

Stay on top of cutting-edge technology and trends in manufacturing assembly automation and techniques. Bring this state-of-the-art technology, as appropriate, to our production equipment to improve the manufacturing cost.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

BS in any engineering discipline

10+ years of experience in the manufacturing process design.

10 Year working experience in automation design and process.

Minimum 5-year experience leading manufacturing engineering team.

Ability to understand customer technical needs, specifications and advanced automotive architecture and effectively provide solutions to both the customer and present these opts to Molex Business Unit

Must have adequate six sigma training and practical knowledge.

Capable of establishing credibility, mutual respect, and authority within the functional groups.

Must be able to travel up to 10%-15%, including potential international travel.

What Will Put You Ahead

MBA

3 years in automotive tier-1 or tier-2 manufacturing process design and development.

Experience with building automated assembly equipment with multiple automation providers

3-year experience in manufacturing assembly process of Interconnect products

Good understanding of various assembly processes like soldering, crimping, welding, dispending, screwing etc.
