Fabricator - Team Lead

Loadmaster is a rapidly growing national manufacturer of refuse trucks with customers all over the country. Garbage never stops, it always needs to be picked up no matter the weather or the economy and our products play an integral role in that process. Some of our customers include major cities and hauling companies who depend on our products in order to keep their cities, parks, and towns clean and healthy.

We are hiring for full-time positions in the fabrication department. Individuals will be operating metalworking equipment such as burn tables, drills, lathes, break press, shear, and band saws. Looking for motivated individuals and will train on necessary equipment.

Summary

Performs skilled work in the fabrication of trucks. Work involves the ability to perform metal fabrication processes of cutting, forming and punching metal.

Essential Functions

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and blue prints
• Ability to understand and follow method layouts and process notes on routings and work orders
• Ability to properly use measuring tools such as caliper, tape measure, plug gauges, and combination squares
• Experience in operating a brake press, CNC machine, laser table, drill, saw or water jet table
• Follows prescribed health and safety requirements
• Carry out daily maintenance and repairs
• Maintain a clean work environment

Required Education and/or Experience

1+ years of working in a manufacturing plant a plus but not required

Qualifications

All employees are expected to have a friendly, positive attitude, a sense of urgency, and the ability to multi-task and solve problems. The following qualifications are required for this position.

• Must be able to pass a background screening and drug screening
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Ability to operate a forklift/powered industrial truck

We work (4) ten hour shifts Monday through Thursday and over time on Friday's as needed
