TIG Welder on Gas Turbine Alloys Job Description We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to work on gas turbine alloys. This role involves the setup and installation of welding equipment, executing precise welding on gas turbine components according to technical specifications, and ensuring the quality of work before confirming operational steps. The position requires preparing and confirming necessary quality documentation, reporting production time per step, setting up welding parameters, selecting consumable materials, and collaborating with engineering staff for new welding process trials. Additionally, the role includes designing and fabricating welding fixtures and other required components. Responsibilities Set up and install welding equipment. Execute welding on gas turbine components following technical specifications. Conduct quality checks on performed work before confirming operation steps. Prepare and confirm required quality documentation. Report used production time per production step. Set up welding parameters, select consumable materials, and prepare work pieces for new welding process trials with engineering staff. Design and fabricate welding fixtures, chill blocks, and purge boxes as needed. Essential Skills 2+ years of TIG welding experience. Proficiency in TIG welding on materials such as Nickel Alloy, Inconel, Haynes, cobalt, stainless steel, nickel, carbon steel, and steel. Ability to read blueprints and fabricate components. Experience with precious metals. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with pneumatic tools. Skills in belting and grinding are beneficial. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a warehouse setting with air conditioning, requiring steel-toed safety shoes rated by ASTM F 2413-05 or ANSI Z41-1999, including Impact/compression, Electrical Hazard, and Static Dissipative protection. The role involves rotation between departments to develop varied skills. Work shifts are Monday through Thursday with two options: 1st shift from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm and 2nd shift from 3:30 pm to 2:00 am. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of JUPITER, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
