Overview

About the Role

Responsible for the overall physical condition, regulatory compliance and appearance of all assigned

University Hospital facilities and real properties, in accordance with established service levels and occupant needs. Ensures efficient and effective management of physical resources, materials and equipment in the course of maintaining assigned facilities. Monitors and/or coordinates the efforts of Physical Plant Units providing equipment maintenance, cleaning, and construction/renovation and/or systems installation/repair, to assigned area.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Supervises and coordinates the activities of all subordinates in the maintenance and general upkeep of all assigned facilities and real property.

Alone and/or with others conducts periodic inspections of the facility to assess equipment condition, compliance and aesthetic appearance.

Coordinates and manages InHouse capital projects, including the ordering of materials, scheduling of staff, applications for permits and coordination with outside vendors/contractors. Ensures endusers requirements are met before, during, and at conclusion of project.

Ensures that all safety and regulatory standards are met and adhered to in assigned facilities and real property including, but not limited to, UCC, DCA, DOH, JCAHO and PEOSHA.

Ensures that all repair and/or renovation to assigned facilities and real property is performed to limit disruption to area occupants and complies with Interim Life Safety Standards and Infection Control Standards. When necessary coordinates and provides notice to appropriate department liaisons in regard to the same.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

Required:

High School or Technical School Diploma or equivalent required.

A minimum of three (3) years' experience in facility maintenance of which includes experience in a lead capacity.

Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems & Construction, Microsoft Office Suite.

A valid driver's license.

The Supervisor Maintenance & Construction position has been deemed Essential, requiring the staff member to be onsite when needed.

Preferred

Certification or licensure as a Facility Manager by BOMA, IFMA and/or New Jersey Department of Education is preferred.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is SS/24S - $67,431.00 - $82,800.00 - $98,168.00, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
