Metal Shop Fabricator

A local Springfield company is seeking a Fabricator to perform, and/or instruct fabrication and forging skills of steel and other metals. The ideal candidate will have 5 years experience manipulating metal. Responsibilities: Construction or repair of all metal structures including gates, railings, furniture, and light fixtures (both interior and exterior) as well as rough and finish decorative metal work Construction of jigs, dies, and tooling to facilitate completion of projects Provide inventory status, and make regular recommendations for required parts and supplies Order parts, and supplies when necessary Provide design, and engineering suggestions to facilitate completion of projects Keep supervisor promptly, and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance to prompt corrective action can be taken when appropriate Other duties as assigned.
