Project Manager, Airport Technologies (APUS)

Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for a Project Manager, Airport Technologies. Position type: Direct Hire Duration: Full-time Location: Novi, MI, with frequent travel to customer sites As a(n) Project Manager: This role is essential to ensure the effective development and delivery of airport baggage handling systems to customers, leading cross-functional teams of engineers and subcontractors to design, install, and commission solutions at some of the world's largest airports. Responsibilities: * Lead and manage cross-functional teams of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, as well as subcontractors. * Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget. * Conduct project review meetings, manage all meeting documentation, and maintain communication with customers and stakeholders. * Oversee engineering teams, monitor hours usage, review project scope, and ensure deliverables are met. * Establish detailed project schedules, priorities, lead times, and cash flow schedules. * Monitor engineering progress, ensure downstream activities are supported, and verify all drawing submittals and transmittals. * Review estimates and change orders, advise Sales, and approve work before proceeding. * Collaborate with accounting to issue invoices and maintain accurate job status reports. * Conduct on-site visits, including walking project sites, climbing access ladders, and negotiating screen guards. * Perform job closeouts, review punch lists, and ensure project documentation is completed. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience in Airport Baggage Handling Project Management. (flexible here depending on cost) * Proven success leading cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale projects. * Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interact at all organizational levels. * Proficiency in computer scheduling tools, preferably Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. * Ability to travel frequently and perform physical site inspections. * Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred. * Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
