MIG/Stick Welder - Fabrication Specialist Location : Almont, MI Pay : $20.00-$25.00/hour (based on experience) Schedule : Full-time 7a-430p Monday-Friday We're seeking a skilled MIG/Stick Welder to join our fabrication team in Almont. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a solid understanding of sheet metal work, blueprint reading, and welding precision. Key Responsibilities Perform MIG and Stick welding to fabricate parts using sheet metal Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings Use measuring tools and basic hand tools to ensure quality standards Lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs during the fabrication process Inspect, identify, and repair improper welds as necessary Operate shop software or digital tools for job tracking or measurement (training provided if needed) Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace Requirements Proven experience with MIG and Stick welding techniques Must pass an on-site weld test prior to employment Ability to read blueprints and operate standard measuring tools Familiarity with basic fabrication shop tools and processes Comfortable with physical requirements: lifting, bending, and standing Experience with fabrication-related software is a plus What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on skills and test results A chance to grow with a company that values craftsmanship Supportive work environment and stable hours Hands-on work with real impact on quality-built products
