JOB REQUIREMENTS: We have locations in De Pere, Appleton, Oshkosh, and
Fond du Lac. We are a family-owned company that has been operating since
1986. We are a Western Star Truck Dealer, certified for Detroit,
Cummins, Cat, and Allison; and service many more! Quality Truck Care
Center is looking to fill our Diesel Mechanic positions 1st and 2nd. The
2nd shift employees are eligible for an annual \$5000 bonus. What you

Program Personal Financial Planning Program Position Summary: Repairs
and services the mechanical, electrical, and other components of a
tractor using hand tools, power tools, welders, and/or any other testing
or repair equipment necessary. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Determines necessary mechanical, electrical, or other areas that need
repair to meet the customer\'s expectations. Diagnoses and repairs truck
breakdowns. Be able to repair and rebuild engines. Performs repairs to
transmission, driveline, and differentials. Correctly completes all
forms, timecards, parts requests, or any other documents associated with
repairs. Represents Quality Truck Care Center in a professional manner,
remaining friendly and courteous in all customer and coworker
interactions. Wears proper personal protective equipment to protect from
injury. Keeps work areas clean and free of clutter. Stays current with
technical literature. Performs Preventative Maintenance in accordance
with company procedures. Performs repairs to engine accessory
components. Performs other duties as assigned. Use handtools, such as
screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, or precision
instruments, as well as power tools, such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes,
welding equipment, or jacks and hoists. Inspect brake systems, steering
mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that
they are in proper operating condition. Raise trucks, buses, and heavy
parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists. Adjust and reline
brakes, align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble
equipment. Attach test instruments to equipment, and read dials and
gauges to diagnose malfunctions. Perform routine maintenance such as
changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and
machinery. Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and
specified safety devices. Inspect, test, and listen to defective
equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as
handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, or pressure gauges.
Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels. Test drive
trucks and buses to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are
working properly. Diagnose and repair vehicle heating and cooling
systems. Inspect, repair, and maintain automotive and mechanical
equipment and machinery, such as pumps and compressors. Inspect and
verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to
factory specifications. Disassemble and overhaul internal combustion
engines, pumps, generators, transmissions, clutches, and differential
units. Adjust or repair computer controlled exhaust emissions devices.
Rebuild gas or diesel engines. Recondition and replace parts, pistons,
bearings, gears, and valves. Specialize in repairing and maintaining
parts of the engine, such as fuel injection systems. Install or repair
accessories. Dismount, mount, and repair or replace tires. Align front
en s and suspension systems. Measure vehicle emissions to determine
whether they are within acceptable limits. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE
AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required Qualifications: High School diploma or
equivalent Extensive knowledge of heavy/medium duty truck repair.
Organizational skills. Valid Driver License CDL preferred. Physical
Requirements: Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel and to
manipulate tools. Ability to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands,
climb or balance and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push or pull.
Ability to see with close vision. Ability to communicate with others
verbally (telephone and in person) and in written communication methods.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and carry \*\*\*\*\*
