Position Summary
This position supports operations by installing, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment. As a team, our maintenance mechanics work to minimize manufacturing machine downtime using corrective and preventive maintenance.
This is a 3rd shift position.
Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
Installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment.
Installs, maintains, and repairs facility related equipment including: access control systems, fire alarm systems, and gas generator systems.
Completes preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on various types of equipment.
Ability to safely troubleshoot and perform basic electrical repairs.
Operates/maintains machine shop equipment, hand tools, measuring, and diagnostic equipment.
Documents completed repairs.
Fabricates, rebuilds, designs, and installs machine parts.
Mechanical installation and troubleshooting of oil lubrication, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems including piping.
Maintain compressed air and drying equipment.
Installation and troubleshooting of electrical motors and controls.
Constructs electrical control panels from various schematics.
Implement ways to reduce costs, increase productivity, and eliminate waste.
Identify, requisition, and track supplies required to complete assignments.
Follows safe working practices and procedures.
All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- HSD/GED or relevant experience.
- 1-2 years prior maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to use and understand various precision measuring tools.
- Ability to read and understand blue prints and schematics.
- Mechanical installation and troubleshooting of oil lubrication, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Safe operation of a variety of shop equipment, such as, but not limited to: welding, mills, lathes, metal saws, surface grinders.
- Ability to rebuild equipment to OEM specifications
- Ability to be fork lift certified.
- Ability to work independently and stay on assigned tasks.
- Ability to enter required information into computerized tracking system.
