We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Weld and Fabrication Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our welding and fabrication building. This role is responsible for ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical welding knowledge, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Promote and oversee cross-training and employee development to build a flexible, skilled workforce and support career growth.
Interprets, applies, and consistently enforces all company policies, programs, rules, regulations, and safety protocol.
Responsible for the continuous improvement efforts that drive value added activity to better service the customer needs while impacting the bottom line.
Fulfills all record keeping requirements including written performance reviews, safety training, and documentation of disciplinary actions.
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, planning and scheduling work and activities to routinely meet demand.
Track and analyze scrap generation and usage; implement corrective actions to reduce waste and improve material efficiency.
Work closely with other production supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork in each department and building.
Bring knowledge and applied understanding of Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor's degree preferred.
5+ years of experience, preferably, welding/fabrication, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
Understanding of blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
Knowledge of OSHA and other safety regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems and basic computer skills (MS Office, etc.).
