The Project Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in overseeing day-to-day operations of long line/restripe pavement marking projects. This position is responsible for driving crew efficiency, maintaining high performance standards, and ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and jobsite accountability.As a working leader, the Project Supervisor coordinates personnel, equipment, materials, and scheduling to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while also maintaining compliance with DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and worksite safety procedures.. This role requires strong decision-making skills, a sharp eye for productivity improvements, and the ability to enforce accountability for both crew performance and safety expectations consistently.Success in this position depends on maintaining clear communication with crews and management, promoting a culture of responsibility and safety, and continuously working to streamline operations for maximum efficiency and quality on every jobsite.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & OversightDirect supervision of Team Leaders and long line crew membersAct as a field-based project lead, present on jobsites to ensure compliance with project scope, timelines, and safety requirementsManage multiple crews or projects, often involving simultaneous applications or night/day shiftsServe as the point of contact for field-related issues and troubleshootingManage and resolve crew conflicts promptly with proper documentation to ensure accountability and maintain a positive, productive work environment.Ensure crew scheduling and logistics are aligned with project demandsSafety & CompliancePromote a culture of safety through training, inspections, and accountabilityEnsure crews are properly trained, safety meetings are attended, and safety procedures are actively followed on every jobEnforce adherence to company safety policies, state DOT standards, and OSHA regulationsEnsure all incidents, injuries, and near misses are properly reported and documentedLead by example and maintain a constant presence on jobsites to reinforce safety expectations and accountability at all levelsQuality Control & CommunicationOversee and review quality control processes including striping thickness, alignment, bead distribution, and proper setup of equipmentMaintain regular communication with state DOT inspectors, general contractors, and company managementEnsure proper documentation of production quantities, materials used, and daily project logsParticipate in operations meetings and provide progress updates to the leadership teamAdministrative & ReportingEnsure accurate entry and review of crew timecards, production reports, and inventory recordsMonitor and manage materials, supply levels, and project inventory needsCoordinate fleet and equipment maintenance schedulesProvide input on employee performance, assist in evaluations, and support personnel developmentAddress and document crew-related issues, including conflicts or performance concerns, in a timely and professional mannerMaintain clear and organized records related to personnel, job progress, safety, and complianceCommunicate promptly with management regarding project updates, issues, or deviations from scheduleEnsure all administrative tasks are handled with attention to detail, consistency, and accountabilityQualifications:High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education or technical certifications preferredMinimum of 5 years experience in pavement marking or heavy highway construction, with supervisory responsibilitiesStrong understanding of industry best practices, safety procedures, and jobsite quality standardsProven leadership skills with the ability to manage crews, delegate tasks, and hold team members accountableStrong understanding of pavement marking operations, including thermoplastic and paint long line applicationsAbility to interpret project plans, follow specifications, and ensure work meets quality and compliance standards.Proficient in MS Office and capable of using and learning project management software (e.g., Vista, ExakTime)Class A or B CDL requiredClean driving record and valid driver's licenseOSHA 10/30, Flagger Certification, First Aid/CPR preferredStrong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
