Masis Staffing Solutions is currently hiring for HEAVY EQUIPMENT Operators for a Pressure-treated Treated Lumber facility based in Columbia, SC. This is a 1st shift position 7 AM-5 PM Monday-Friday (Rough Terrain Forklift Experience Certification Required), (Bilingual a plus)

Responsibilities of the HEAVY EQUIPMENT Operator

Assist in loading and unloading of materials and charges.

Identify the sort numbers for the carts you are responsible for.

Operate rough terrain forklifts in a safe and efficient manner

Load and unload lumber from trucks and other vehicles

Transport lumber to and from storage areas and production sites

Inspect and maintain forklift equipment, reporting any defects or malfunctions

Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

Ensure all paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and on time

Adhere to company policies and procedures related to forklift operation and material handling

Requirements of the HEAVY EQUIPMENT Operator

Valid forklift operator certification

Experience operating rough terrain forklifts

Ability to work in outdoor environments and in varying weather conditions (This is an OUTSIDE position).

Knowledge of proper loading and unloading procedures

Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods

Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols

Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors

Compensation for the HEAVY EQUIPMENT Operator

Salary: Will be discussed during in-office interview
