Machine Painter 1st Shift (Advance, NC)

What will you do?

We are seeking an experienced Machine Painter to join our team in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for preparing and applying industrial paint and protective coatings to machinery, and equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers

Mix and match paints to achieve required colors and consistency

paint and protective coatings using spray equipment, brushes, and rollers

Maintain and operate various painting equipment including HVLP spray guns and air compressors

Follow proper safety procedures when handling paints, thinners, and other chemicals

Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met

Clean and maintain painting equipment and work area

Document paint materials used and maintain inventory records

What Do You Need?

2+ years' experience in industrial painting, preferably with equipment

Knowledge of industrial paint types, application methods, and safety requirements

Experience with surface preparation techniques and paint mixing

Ability to read and understand technical documentation and safety data sheets

Physical ability to stand, climb, and work in various positions for extended periods

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Certification in industrial painting or related field

Experience with electrostatic painting systems

Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations regarding paint applications

Obtain Forklift certification within two weeks of being hired

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Ability to work in various weather conditions

Capable of wearing required PPE including respirators

Good color vision and depth perception

Work Environment:

Industrial shop setting with exposure to paint fumes, dust, and noise

May require outdoor work in various weather conditions

Regular use of PPE required

Full-time position with occasional overtime as needed
