Land Survey Party Chief 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 50 Mountain Road, Halifax, VA 24558 Job Summary: We have a full-time opportunity for a Party Chief in our Survey division in our Halifax/Chase City office. The Party Chief will be responsible for planning work tasks for survey crews, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of field work, maintaining crew logs accurately, and reviewing field notes before submission. The ideal candidate(s) will be able to work long hours with the potential for overtime. Qualifications: Must have a valid driver's license. Willingness to travel and work overtime. Ability to work outside in various weather conditions. High school diploma or GED is required. Professional experience in land surveying is preferred. Strong communication skills Responsibilities: Plan work tasks for survey crews. Ensure accurate and efficient field work. Maintain crew logs accurately. Review field notes before final submission. Physical Demands This role primarily involves fieldwork and may be subject to the repetitive lifting of equipment, standing, bending, stooping, or climbing over rough terrain, in addition to occasionally functioning within a standard office environment. This position may be associated with moderate levels of stress.
