Commercial Construction Estimator in Charleston,SC,US

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. This role involves preparing and managing accurate project cost estimates to support competitive and profitable bids. The Estimator will collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients to forecast costs aligned with project goals and requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates by reviewing project plans, drawings, and specifications Evaluate purchase offers and assess site requirements and design changes Analyze cost variances and resolve discrepancies for budget accuracy Develop and present project budgets and reports to stakeholders Create competitive project bids aligned with client and company objectives Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cost-effective solutions Lead meetings with clients, project and site managers, and subcontractors Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations Travel to job sites as needed for project analysis and documentation Stay current with industry standards, construction codes, and best practices Qualifications Strong mathematical skills (algebra, geometry, arithmetic) Ability to interpret construction specifications and plans Experience creating and presenting project estimates and proposals Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and construction procedures Strong communication and collaboration skills Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Mathematics, or a related field (preferred) Certification in a construction trade (roofing, electrical, etc.) is a plus Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimation or a related role Work Hours & Benefits Full-time position with flexible work hours Comprehensive benefits package, including: Health insurance Retirement plans Performance bonuses Tuition reimbursement opportunities Supportive work environment that values professional growth and work-life balance
