Staff Geotechnical Engineer

Our York, PA office is seeking a Staff Geotechnical Engineer with 1 -5 years of experience to join our collaborative geostructural design team. This role is ideal for early-career professionals looking to build technical expertise while receiving hands-on mentorship from senior engineers and Professional Engineers (PEs). You'll be exposed to a broad range of geotechnical and geostructural projects and will gain the skills, confidence, and support needed to take your engineering career to the next level.
What You'll Do
Participate in and analyze subsurface investigations (test pits, borings, lab testing)
Assist with the design of retaining walls, excavation support systems, and foundations
Perform geotechnical analyses (settlement, bearing capacity, slope stability, lateral pressure)
Prepare and contribute to engineering reports, recommendations, and construction documents
Observe construction activities and materials testing for deep foundations, MSE walls and SOE systems
Work side-by-side with experienced PEs who will provide
What You Bring
Previous geotechnical and/or construction materials testing experience.
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering preferred
E.I.T. certification preferred or in progress
Strong communication skillswritten and verbal
Familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD or geotechnical design software is a plus
A willingness to learn, collaborate, and grow through mentorship
